ASUS have quietly announced the official specifications for their larger Eee PC tablet, the convertible T101H.  Like its 8.9-inch T91 sibling, the T101H has an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, 16GB SSD (paired with an included 16GB SD card) and a resistive touchscreen; however, in the case of the T101H that LED-backlit panel is 10.1-inches.

Panasonic have announced their latest HDD camcorder, the HCD-HS350.  Packed with a 240GB hard-drive and using a 10.6-megapixel 3MOS sensor, the HCD-HS350 also sports an SDHC slot (content with up to 32GB cards) and 12x optical zoom; according to Panasonic, the HS350 can record more than 30 hours of Full HD video.

Sony announced their DVDirect VDR-MC6 today which is set to replace the VDR-MC5 DVD recorder. This new model allows the transfer of SD and HD videos and photos from your camera to DVDs directly. No PC needed.

Sony revealed two new models in their HD Handycam line today. They are the HDR-CX500V and the HDR-CX520V which feature a backlit CMOS sensor and dramatically improved visuals.

Panasonic have released a firmware update for its digital camera range that blocks the use of third-party batteries.  The update, which is now available for sixteen cameras in Panasonic’s range, addresses “imitation” batteries that the company suggests “do not meet the rigid safety standards Panasonic uses”.

Samsung released their SMX-C14 camcorder today, following the product’s announcement back in April. This camera sports the Touch of Color style that has been so popular among Samsung products these days.
